Hemp Oils and Hemp Seed Oil

Hemp Oils and Hemp Seed Oil

Hemp oils and hemp seed oil are two different ingredients with their own set of benefits.

Both are derived from the hemp plant. The difference comes from which part of the plant the oil is derived from. Hemp seed oil is derived from hemp seeds. In contrast, hemp oil is derived from aerial part plants such as the stalks, flowers, and leaves of the hemp plant.

So, what’s the difference?

The major difference between these two oils is the presence of CBD. CBD is a chemical compound found naturally in the cannabis plant. Hemp oil contains high levels of CBD; hemp seed oil contains no CBD.

Also known as CBD oil, hemp oil boasts a myriad of benefits. We have receptors under the skin called cannabinoid receptors, which interact with CBD to produce a variety of effects. For the skin, hemp oil provides moisturizing and healing properties. In addition to CBD, hemp oil contains other essential nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, proteins, and fatty acids. Hemp oil provides a range of benefits not only for the skin but for the well being of the body.

While it does not contain CBD, hemp seed oil still provides a myriad of benefits. Rich in essential fatty acids like omega-3s and omega-6s, hemp seed oil is beneficial for supporting a natural skin barrier, which keeps skin hydrated and youthful.
